I know lots of songs will be released this season and i am waiting for Nyota Ndogo's Mapanya album launc,but its the end of year,we need to go home relax and face a new year 2015.
So from me here at Mziqi view,i would love to wish each one of you A merry xmass and a blessed happy new year.

I keep Imagining a duo of Susumila and Chikuzee.....Massive!!

Now lately Susumila has been doing so well on the air waves because of his songs Hidaya and Ngoma Itambae which he has featured another coast star Chikuzee in both songs.
I  want you to please reason with me,if in this songs Chikuzee was not featured would they have done so well? i beleive Chikuzee has a very huge role in making this hits what they are and am seeing good chemistry between the two,so lets assume that this two agreed to be a duo and do all their songs together am sure they will go far than they have.
Now this is not only a review, but maybe an advice to the two,why not merge up and show them Kenyans what you are capable of as a team?all they need is a serious management team and for Chikuzee to open up and stop hiding in coast and we havean award winning team.
I am sure the beginning will be tough, but after years, am sure they will look back and smile.

Mwana's Video by Kiba premieres today!!

Ali Kiba just released the long awaited video of Mwana and yea....a good video but not so unique nor does it have a wow factor.
Am not saying that the video is bad,no,it is good but not so out of this world,its just like any other video,am sure instead of him doing the video so far away,a kenyan producer would have done a marvelous job.
Any way,good job Kiba,nice video,we are waiting for more.

Mamangu by Willy Paul,so flat for me!!

So willy paul has released a new song Mamangu and honestly,the song is so flat,nothing attractive there.
Am worried,i hope this talent isn't over,let me assume that it was a bad move,though i can see the song is for his mum who is sick,quick recovery but Willy,this should have been a hit song,passionately done with the best beats Kenyans ever heard.
Again is willy trying to be Bahati?trying to hit with a song like bahati did with Mama?let me not start a beef though, i hope that was not the case.

Great hit by Barnaba and Vanessa Mdee.

Eeeeeeeih,am dancing already,yani today is a great day for me,all songs i listen to do a review on them are just beautiful.
Am sure you will dance to this song done by Barnaba and Vanessa Mdee.The song is Siri,the beats are super super danceable.,actually ni vile you can not see me,but am so dancing to the tune.
This two artist are great,they have nice vocals,especially Vanessa,the girl's voice is just amazing,she never ceases to amaze me.Africa better watch this girl,soon,she will be taking The world by storm.

TID and Nazizi in a new hit,Pressure.

And TID Had to come back in a big way with a collabo with Nazizi,he must be the only guy who made us see Nazizi as z chick,away with the Tom boy,the song is terrific,and that back ground beat,i love.
The video,Beautifu and very very simple,just a fancy car and the two artists ane we are good to go.

This two are great artists,legends if i can say and men in this song,am just dancing while inviting my furahi day.Here is the brand new song Pressure,just listen to it and i know you will fall for it just like i did.
This is not the first collabo the two have done,they have also done Watasema sana 

One thing i love about TID is his english,the guy speaks english that can shock you,and he has a strong opinion about everything,you should get to listen to his interviews,just hard headed.
TID has also done several other songs one of it being Sura Yako.

Tosheka by MOG.

Now the MOG's have always been one of my best gospel group and this song Tosheka is not any different,the song has a message,good message for everyone,and the video,simply done and i love it.
I love the song,am singing along as i write,Great great hit MOG,

One centimeter Original and the remix,whats your choice?

One Centimeter remix is a far much hit than the One Centimeter original,nothing biased though,i just have a liking to the remix.
I like how Iyanya is singing the swahili while Jaguar is singing the English in the Chorus a nice twist right?
Bothe videos make sense to me,beautifully done,very clear and just lovely.

Tupogo Remix....so boring to me!!

Ok,now enough of this remixes,What exactly is a remix?or do we say that once an artist has nothing to sing about he or she just gets one of his songs and does a remix on it?
Am saying this because of Ommy Dimpoz and his Tupogo remix.
The song to me is boring.......The video,whatever it was meant to be,is just something else,nothing attractive.
I prefer the original Tupogo a hundred times.

Waje features Diamond in her new hit Coco Baby!!

Waje is a musician i had never heard about before coke studio,dont laugh please,this is a moment of honesty,But she seems to be a talented artist and i beleive she is a strategist and knows or knew what Diamond would do for her music career especially if she wanted to take over East Africa,and she did a Collabo,great song,But not so catch,i mean i cant listen to it over and over again,its just a one off for me,The video though?Magnificient,just beautiful.All i love about this song is the video,nothing else,and why does Diamond Eat up his words,i can not hear what he is saying....i like the fusion though and the fact that Waje sings a bit of swahili,Listen to the Collabo here.

Let me assume many of you knew nothing about waje,Aituaje Iruobe commonly known as WAJE Which means Words Are Not Enough is a nigerian musician who is the female voice behind Do Me

And Diamond is Back....not because he sung a new song,nooooo because he is back as that Diamond who would sing and make me dance.
I said this earlier,Now that Diamond and Wema are no more,i mean the couple has broken up,wait and hear the songs that Diamond will drop them.
I have nothing to say about this song,its just amazing and i love it!!

Only superstars give presents on their birthdays and trust me, P Square are not any different.The duo which is celebrating their birthday decided to drop a video as a present to their fan and the video is epic, not disappointing at all.

Yesterday i happened not to go to work,i was a bit sick, so i happened to have sometime with my baby sister and she was telling me about a song by Elani,she did not remember the title but was trying to sing the song.Funny enough,i had never heard of the song,she had to tune in to a radio station that she tells me,played the song almost every hour, and the song was beautiful.....ironically i had never heard of it.
So today first thing this morning i went to youtube and looked for the song, and i am impressed,beautiful song by Elani.
Maybe you have heard of it,or maybe like me,you happened not to have listened to it,the song is Zuzu by Elani Watch it here which they have featured DJ Joe mfalme in the video.
I love Elani,everyday the come up with great songs,they are definitely revolutionizing the music industry in East Africa. 

Love you better by Juliana Kanyomozi and Jay Ghartey!!!

Am glad after her demise,Juliana is back and going strong.......she just released a video to the song Love you better which she did it with Jay Ghartey.The video was shot in new york and the girl looks happy.
i love the song,the vocals are great,both the musicians sound so good.I like this song because it brings another side of Juliana,the all happy and charismatic girl.
Am happy to see that she is fine and has bounced back to her self.

Akothee.....Her music and the Massive airplay she receives!!

There is this musician from Coast who is called Akothee, i have tried to keep my opinion about her to myself but i just have to say something.
On the years we have been around, it has taken Coastal musicians a lot of hard work to be featured on Kenyan media especially on Radio and TV stations in Nairobi.

Nyota Ndogo-A Coastal Musician

Lets look at a musician like Nyota Ndogo, who is a legend, she has sung and done big Collabos with big musicians,Great Voice, great talent, but for her to be featured on our Radio and TV stations for her to have numerous interviews and massive airplay was through lots of hard work.
But today,we have Akothee, this artist has been singing for how long now?less than three years with less than six songs and she is now all over our TV and Radio Stations so the question is what is she doing right that the other coastal musicians have not done?
Or do we say that she has managed to buy our TV and Radio Presenters? because romour has it that the girl is loaded.

Kidis- A Coastal Musician

Artists like Susumila have fought to be given airplay,artists like Kidis,Chikuzee, Ali B, Sudi Boy and the rest have worked so hard to be heard on Kenyan media, so ask yourself how and why it should be or has been different for Akothee.

You will notice that Cannibal had to move to Nairobi to change his Music career.
Should we say that Akothee has invested well in Publicity and her management is doing a good job?or is it sheer luck or do we say that money attracts good things?
Truth be said,Her talent is not so unique that if her songs were not played people would notice, i love her videos though, well produced but the good videos alone do not warrant her the massive air play she has been receiving.

Away from that, i love Akothee as a Business woman, i admire her as an industrious woman and a mother of several kids.

This Girl Rema Namakula from Uganda!!

Bumped into a Ugandan song called Deep in love by Rema and yea.....i love the song.You might not get the language, but trust me its worth dancing to.....Am saiying you because for one reason or another, i hear some Luganda and yea the song is all about love as the title says.Listen to the song here

 Interestingly, Rema is a daughter to musician Halima Namakula who is a legendary musician in Uganda.

1.......2.......3,Three days of anticipation,cheer and untold expectation.Finally the king is born.Happy Bithday Mfalme Agwatta.
Today marks the climax of what has been a weekend of party and cheer for the King.What started as an impromptu gathering at some secret location in Nairobi transformed into  surprise and dance all wrapped in layers of happiness.
Agwatta's friends succeeded in tricking the King to a Birth day bash.
We have in possession pictures of a dancing pole. a tall sugar cane (what were they thinking) and bevy of beauties all paying allegiance to the King.The life of a king must be ....the life.
All these took place on saturday,three days to the real birthday....who does that??He really is the King.

 I know its late to review this song,but it has been in my head and i just had to do it.
The Song has me humming all night and day and i just knew you would love if i did a on it.
Uliza Kiatu by Hart the band,is a great song,beautifully done,great and unique vocals,some unique rapping i should say? but the video?so wanting.
Any way,i will understand because its one of  your first videos, maybe the next will be up to standards.

Nonini and Wyre have done a  collabo, and i wont talk much about the song, but i love the video, its Magical.
So much was put in this video, it looks unique.

The mix of Genge and Dance hall has made the song unique, and i like that they are talking about music history and their love for it.
i will not give so much history to the two because this guys are pioneers and legends in music,all i will say is that's a great hit Guys!!I loved it.
The fact that this great song was inspired by a great old coastal classic especially the chorus,makes me smile.Listen to the chorus of mbele,then have a listen to the song Hinde,a giriama hit on this link i say its a great adaptation by great musicians...Much appreciation to Agwatta for the link to the coastal classic.

By the way Wyre, you have been a great musician, just wondering why all this experiments? from nonini,to Kanda Bongoman, if you feel that you no longer have content,just relax and go missing,then come back in a few years we will have missed and by then am sure,you will have so many new hits ready for release,try ask Ali Kiba for advice, he did that and it turned out fine.
You are spoiling a career that took you years to build.
I know this song will receive air play not because its so good,but because of the names of this two musicians,but truth be said,its not such a great hit,to me it was a miss,not a hit!!

Last week Sauti sol won Best act in africa and as a result launched Sura Yako remix which they have featured Iyanya.
What i love best about this remix is Iyanya singing Kiswahili, thats huge to me and makes me respect this boys,you know for once its not about the pidgin but its about our Swahili!!

Eeeeih,Mwana Fa had to be the first to do a collabo with Ali Kiba after his come back and yeeeees,this song is Super,its just on another level.
The rap jells well with Kiba's vocals and need i say how Ali Kiba has a beautiful voice?
And Marco Chali,good beat,there's that unique beat on the back ground,superb,Loving this song more and more,i think i have listened to it a hundred time n i cant get enough!!

For those who dont know,ali kiba did a come back a few months ago with two songs, Mwana and Kimasomaso and personally i lover Mwana, and from how the media has reacted to his comeback, Mwana has been received well.

I woke up to sad news of YP's death and after a very long weekend, after celebrating all this shujaas, i feel sad.I personally liked the guy,he might not be known to the young generation,but to some of us who have been around a little longer.....YP was good.
He was a member of the TMK Family, you know the group for its songs right?let me jog your memories...remember a song Dar mpaka moro?Watch it here
